December 12, Ben Cat Town Labor Union held a conference on dissiminating contents of government Decree No. 103 on the minimum wage for employees working for enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, farms, households, individuals and agencies and organizations of employment contracts. Attending the conference was representatives of more than 50 companies stationed in the province.
According to the Decree, the regional minimum wage applicable to the enterprises is defined as follows: The amount of VND 3,100,000 a month applicable to enterprises operating in Region I of the province, VND 2,275,000 in Region II, VND 2,400,000 in Region III and VND 2,150,000 in Region IV. Accordingly, Ben Cat Town of Region I, the minimum wage applicable for local employees is VND 3,100,000 a month. In addition, employees in Ben Cat Town trained in vocational courses will be offered at least 7% of salary as payments.
