ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting opens in Kuala Lumpur

The 33rd ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM 33) and related meetings opened in Kuala Lumpur on October 7.

The Vietnamese delegation to the event is led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong.

The meeting agreed to continue intensifying existing cooperative ties and maximising support from foreign partners and international organisations towards building a sustainable ASEAN energy sector and ensuring energy supply for socio-economic development and energy access for all ASEAN citizens.

As scheduled, the 12 th ASEAN+3 Ministers on Energy Meeting, the ninth East Asian Energy Ministers’ Meeting and the fifth AMEM dialogue with the International Energy Agency (IAE) will be held on October 8.
