Cambodia strives to follow Vietnam’s development

In an interview with a reporter from Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, a board member of the People’s Magazine of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), journalist Khieu Navy, recognized the importance of the 11th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).

Reporter: How important is the 11th National Congress of the CPV?

Journalist Khieu Navy: I think that the 11th National Congress of the CPV plays a very important role in continuing to boost socio-economic development in Vietnam, especially in further increasing national industrialization and modernization. The guidelines of the CPV will continue to be applied in every area of development, including the development of human resources, sciences and technologies as well as the prevention of corruption.

I am very impressed by Vietnam’s economic growth. I believe that in the future Vietnam will become a new tiger of Asia.

I think that Cambodia should strive to learn and follow Vietnam’s development.

Reporter: How do you think Vietnam will change after the Congress?

Journalist Khieu Navy: After the Congress there must be a lot changes, and I think the biggest change is in the remarkable improvement of people’s living standard as Vietnamese leaders always consider increasing the prosperity and happiness of people.
