France not alone in the war on terror

A series of terror attacks on November 13 in Paris killed at least 129 people and injured more than 350 others. The attacks have stirred international indignation.

The incident once again demonstrates that the war on terror has just begun and must be pitiless. The world community has expressed solidarity with France.

IS has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Paris and Saint Denis, which shocked the world. The attackers were killed and security forces are hunting down their accomplices. But it will not be easy to identify the terrorists.

The attacks on November 13 have been the most horrible on France since World War 2. French President Francois Hollande said France will conduct a pitiless war against IS barbaric acts and the war against Islamic extremists in France will continue.

The world community has showed support for France in this effort. The UN Security Council condemned the attacks, calling them coward and said the culprits must be brought to justice as soon as possible.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the attacks show the brutality of terrorism and pose a challenge to humanity. He said Moscow is ready to cooperate with France in investigating the case.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the attacks on a free country are attacks against humanity and Germany is ready to take the lead in the war against terror with France.

Leaders and people of many countries have showed solidarity and sympathy with the losses suffered by the French government and people.

Canada said it will provide all necessary assistance for France and cooperate with the international community to prevent similar attacks.

Spain, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Australia have pledged full support for France and all possible resources for France’s war against terror.

The world has been facing a risk of escalating terrorism on the global scale. New terrorist plots have been uncovered in many countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Terrorist groups have been more coordinated and organized and the casualties of their attacks have been more significant.

Countries are now required to join forces against terrorism and only a pitiless war will bring about positive results.
