In his speech during the launch ceremony held in Sumedang, West Java, Prabowo emphasised that these projects comprise 26 power plants with a total capacity of 3.2 gigawatts, along with 11 transmission networks and substations across 18 provinces.

He highlighted that this initiative symbolises the government's commitment to realising sustainable energy transition and ensuring energy independence through the acceleration of national energy infrastructure.
He said that these infrastructure projects are a crucial foundation for supporting the economic transformation towards becoming an industrial nation. For that reason, energy is vital in the country’s strategic development.
On the same occasion, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia noted that 89% of the total 3.2 gigawatts will come from clean and renewable energy sources.
He stressed that this initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support the President's commitment, both domestically and at international forums, to accelerate the transition from fossil fuel-based steam power plants to those using new renewable energies./.
