Hon Khoai Island is located in Tan An commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province, and has no residents. Currently, the only forces stationed on the island are Radar Station 595, belonging to Regiment 551, Naval Region 5 Command; Hon Khoai Border Guard Station under the Ca Mau Provincial Border Guard; Hon Khoai Lighthouse Station under the Ministry of Transport and Hon Khoai Forest Ranger Department under the Ca Mau Provincial Forest Ranger Department.
