On May 8, a delegation of Binh Duong province, led by Nguyen Loc Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - visited soldiers and people in Truong Sa Island and offered incense at Cam Ranh Political Prison Memorial, and visited Brigade 162 wharf; offered incense at Linh Nguyen Pagoda, spiritual park and watched documentariess about Brigade 189.

This was one of the activities organized by the 4th Naval Region Command for the Delegation No.7 to visit the Spratly Islands and DK1 Rig, led by Rear Admiral Pham Van Quang, Deputy Head of Naval Politics. The delegation consisted of 224 delegates who are members of 25 ministries, agencies, units, organizations, localities, and journalists of Central and local newspapers, and artists. Binh Duong had 15 delegates from departments, agencies, branches of provincial districts, towns and cities.
At the Cam Ranh Memorial of political prisoner martyrs, the Delegation No.7 paid tribute to the faithful and brave soldiers who fought and devote their lives to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party, for the longevity of the nation. From 1952 to 1954, the French colonialists captured more than 6,000 revolutionary soldiers and killed more than 100 soldiers. Although the enemy used many cruel torture tactics, the soldiers were always steadfast, kept the fight spirit, integrity, did not give up, were willing to make sacrifices for the cause of national liberation.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Quan, Deputy Brigade Chief, Chief of Staff, on behalf of officers and crews of the 189th Submarine Brigade, sincerely thanked the Delegation No.7 for their support for the brigade. "This is a great source of encouragement in the mission performance of the brigade. We promise to always be united and determined to successfully carry out the assigned tasks", said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Quan.
