Addressing the launching ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Hai stated that the establishment of the firm marks an important milestone in expanding Vietravel’s business into the South Asian tourism market.

He emphasised that with the increasing number of direct flights between the two countries, the tourism industry will have many opportunities for growth.

Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Tran Doan The Duy said the presence of Viet India Travel is an important step in the journey to expand and promote programmes connecting Vietnam and India.

Vietravel hopes to create unique and distinct experiences for Indian travelers, allowing them not only to explore Vietnam's beautiful nature and rich culture but also to better understand the friendly relationship between the two countries, he added.

According to Ngo Minh Quan, Director of Inbound Department at Vietravel, as the most populous country in the world and an increasingly growing economy, India has seen a rise in travel spending among its people. In the past two years, Vietnam was among the top favourite destinations of Indian travelers, so Vietravel has strengthened its services to cater to the specific demand of this market.

This year, Vietravel has so far welcomed nearly 15,000 Indian tourists, a promising figure, he said, expressing his hope that with the establishment of the joint venture, this figure will continue to rise in the future.

Over the recent years, India has been recognised as one of the most promising markets, with a growing number of people eager to travel, and experiencing strong growth.

Viet India Travel is not only part of Vietravel's international market expansion strategy but also demonstrates its desire to forge deeper connections with partners and potential customers in India. Through this company, Vietravel aims to offer high-quality and diverse travel services, including options for leisure tourism, cultural and nature exploration, MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tours, and healthcare tourism./.
