Bau Bang expedites the completion of infrastructure system

0

Bau Bang District has distinguished itself in attracting investment through its ongoing commitment to enhancing its infrastructure system. With convenient transportation, modern industrial parks, and a thriving trade and services sector, the district is transforming its landscape and creating numerous opportunities for sustainable development.

Transportation paves the path for development

Bau Bang District is undergoing a significant transformation due to substantial investments in transportation infrastructure. In recent years, numerous key routes traversing the district have received upgrades and expansions, including DT749A and My Phuoc - Bau Bang, which facilitate connections to vital economic zones within the province and the Southeast region. Additionally, critical traffic arteries such as DH618 and Tan Long - Lai Uyen, part of the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road corridor, have been completed, enhancing the effectiveness of the inter-regional traffic network.

The traffic infrastructure in Bau Bang District is becoming increasingly synchronized and modernized

Furthermore, the Bau Bang district has actively promoted investment in the enhancement of rural transportation. From 2020 to the present, the district has allocated nearly 823.5 billion VND to improve over 69 kilometers of rural roads. As a result, all roads under the district's management have been asphalted and concreted, while the proportion of roads managed by communes and towns that have been upgraded has reached 65.8%.

Long Nguyen Commune exemplifies significant progress in infrastructure development. The commune features 264 roads, spanning nearly 189 kilometers, including key routes such as DT749A, DT749C, DH610, and DH611. Presently, 84 roads under the commune's management have been surfaced with hot asphalt and cement concrete, totaling over 65 kilometers. Mr. Le Huu Nang, a resident of Long Nguyen Commune, remarked: Previously, many roads in the area were muddy, creating considerable challenges for travel during the rainy season. Currently, the roads are clear, allowing for convenient vehicle circulation, and the transportation of agricultural products and goods has become significantly easier, enhancing the quality of life for residents, who are now filled with enthusiasm.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Chairman of the Bau Bang District People's Committee, emphasized that the district consistently prioritizes investment in transportation infrastructure. When transportation is efficient, the economic "flow" is facilitated, enabling the locality to thrive and enhance the quality of life for its residents.

Advancement in industrial and service infrastructure

In addition to transportation, the infrastructure of industrial parks (IPs) is a critical factor in Bau Bang's capacity to attract investment. The locality has been refining the IP system in a cohesive and contemporary manner to fulfill the demands of high-tech industrial development while ensuring environmental protection.

In Bau Bang district, there are presently 1,514 domestic and foreign investment projects, with a total registered capital exceeding 32,577 billion VND and nearly 4.69 billion USD

Bau Bang District has undertaken significant efforts to enhance the infrastructure of both existing and under-construction industrial parks, including Bau Bang Industrial Park, Bau Bang Expansion Industrial Park, Tan Binh Industrial Park (part of Bau Bang District), and Cay Truong Industrial Park. The completion of infrastructure within these industrial parks—such as the construction of roads, electricity, water supply, and waste treatment systems—ensures sustainable development, environmental friendliness, and an increasing attraction for high-quality foreign investors. Notably, Bau Bang Industrial Park and Bau Bang Expansion Industrial Park have invested in a centralized wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of up to 12,000m³ per day and night, effectively meeting the discharge requirements of both industrial parks.

Meanwhile, the commercial and service infrastructure system in the district is being progressively enhanced to effectively meet the needs of the populace. Currently, the district boasts 10 markets, 22 gas stations, and 10 bank branches or transaction offices, ensuring adequate support for financial transactions for both organizations and individuals in the area. From 2020 to 2024, Bau Bang district has mobilized a total social investment capital of VND 6,177 billion, reflecting an average annual increase of 4.08%. Of this amount, the capital managed by the locality constitutes a significant portion, totaling VND 5,863 billion (94.92%), with the remainder sourced from other legal avenues. This funding is prioritized for critical infrastructure projects, including transportation, water supply and drainage, healthcare, culture, and public works that enhance the quality of life for residents.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong, Chairman of the Bau Bang District People's Committee, underscored the importance of leveraging the locality's potential, advantages, and available resources. The district is progressively enhancing its integrated infrastructure system, with a focus on mobilizing resources and engaging economic sectors to effectively harness its potential and advantages. Bau Bang aims to sustain a robust economic growth rate while transitioning its structure towards industry, trade, and agriculture. It is committed to implementing effective solutions for the development of high-quality services, advancing administrative reform to create optimal conditions for residents and businesses, and attracting and cultivating human resources, all while prioritizing ecological protection.
