10 prominent cultural, sports, and tourism events in Binh Duong Province in 2024

On December 17, 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism made a decision to recognize the prominent cultural, sports, and tourism events of Binh Duong province for the year 2024. Accordingly, there are 10 notable events in 2024 as follows:

1. The 2024 Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony was organized for the first time on a provincial scale with solemnity and significance, aiming to reminisce about the nation-building and defending traditions of our ancestors, and to promote and educate the moral principle of gratitude.

2. The successful organization of the 6th Ripe Fruit Season Festival in 2024, themed "Lai Thieu Season of Promises," aimed to continue enhancing cultural activities linked with tourism development. The festival took place from June 15 to June 22, 2024, at the Cau Ngang area, Hung Dinh ward, Thuan An city.

3. The 95th death anniversary ceremony of Nguyen Sinh Sac (27.11.1929 – 27.11.2024) - the father of the great President Ho Chi Minh – is organized to acknowledge and honor his significant contributions to spreading patriotism among the people nationwide and particularly in Binh Duong province. This year, the 95th ceremony for Nguyen Sinh Sac takes place over two days (26 and 27-11-2024) featuring traditional rituals and a themed exhibition that recreates the space where Nguyen Sinh Sac prepared medicine to treat people at Hoi Khanh Pagoda.

4. Binh Duong successfully hosted and achieved outstanding achievements in various national cultural and artistic festivals in 2024, highly evaluated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for its coordination efforts.

Firstly, the mobile propaganda contest to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the traditional day of the Truong Son troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024).

Secondly, the 2nd National Professional Singing, Dancing, and Music Festival in 2024, held from September 29 to October 15, 2024, at the Provincial Conference and Exhibition Center.

5. Successfully organized a scientific seminar to review three years of implementing the project on the development of physical education and sports in Binh Duong province up to 2025, with a vision towards 2030, and a conference to deploy Conclusion No. 70-KL/TW dated January 31, 2024, by the Politburo; the strategy for the development of sports in Vietnam and the plan to organize sports congresses at all levels.

6. Athletes from Binh Duong province continue to achieve high results at national, regional, continental, and world sports competitions.

7. Many sports events were successfully organized in Binh Duong, attracting a large number of people to participate.

8. The Famtrip program for 2024, themed "One route, three destinations," was successfully organized from April 16 to April 18, 2024. This activity is part of the "Agreement on cooperative development of tourism in the Southeast region for the period 2020 - 2025," aimed at surveying and introducing tourist destinations in the three provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, and Tay Ninh.

9. The "Video Clip Creation Contest Introducing Tourism in Binh Duong" for the year 2024 was successfully organized.

10. Many cultural, sports, and tourism activities were organized vibrantly, lively, and diversely in various localities.
