Early November 10, provincial People’s Committee held a conference to review action programs for children in the 2013-2020 period and programs on gender equality in the 2016-2020 period, in attendance of Ho Quang Diep, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Addressing the conference, Mr.Ha stressed that over the past years, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee have opportunely and sufficiently implemented policies on child care and protection, gender equality with positive results, contributing to stabilizing the local social welfare.
In order to well realize provincial action program for children and gender equality in the 2021-2025 period, Mr.Ha instructed sectors, authorities at all levels and socio-political organizations in the province to further strengthen propaganda work, aiming to raise public awareness and action of child protection, care and education, gender equality and for the advancement of women; continue boosting the implementation of socialization in environmental protection, child care and mobilizing many resources to carry out this task effectively…
Reportedly, the rate of children with special circumstances in the province fell to 1.9% of total. There were 100% of children with special circumstances having regular support for community integration and development; 83% of children at high risk of falling into special circumstances. All 9 districts, towns and cities also carried out support models on gender equality…
