Over the past time, the Trade Union implemented a lot of practical activities taking care of laborers’ legitimate rights and interests, helping it become a solid fulcrum for them. Among the 311 enterprises with trade union locals at VSIP, so far, there have been 98% of laborers with labor deals, 100% of trade union locals with working regulations, more than 90% of enterprises with payrolls and 44% enterprises with grassroots labor safety and hygiene councils.
In the last tenure, there were 4 individuals awarded the certificates of merit of the Prime Minister; 1.469 collectives and 4,573 individuals with the certificates of merit and 18 collectives with the emulation banners of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The congress also put forward the overall objectives of the Trade Union in the 2018-2023 tenure, including improving operational contents, forms with focus on laborers; building a strong organization for laborers’ legitimate rights and interests; setting harmonious, stable and advanced labor relations, significantly contributing to sustainable socio-economic development, maintaining political security, social order-safety and ensuring an attractive investment climate for enterprises.
