Early October 22, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board for Humanitarian Blood Donation in coordination with Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center and the Board of Supervisors of An Phuoc Prison organized the 6th voluntary blood donation campaign of 2022.
This voluntary blood donation campaign absorbed 100 officers and soldiers from An Phuoc prison. Through screening, there were 85 officers and soldiers eligible to donate blood. As a result, they donated 29,750 milliliters of blood. All of this blood amount will be transferred to the Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital for preservation and use in emergency treatment.
It is known that over the past time, An Phuoc prison was one of the outstanding units in responding to voluntary blood donation activities. The number of the unit’s officers and soldiers participating in each voluntary blood donation campaign was from 100 people or more.
