*Students take 3 compulsory subjects: literature, math and English
Provincial People's Committee has just issued the Official Letter No. 192/UBNDVX on the unification of the plan and method of enrollment for 10th graders of public and private high schools in the province for the academic year of 2023-2024 at the request of provincial Department of Education and Training.
Specifically, the total number of students in grade 9 of public and private secondary school in the school year of 2022-2023 as of November 30, 2022 was 28,997 students. Among them, 27,547 are expected to be recognized as those with graduation from secondary school in the 2022-2023 school year or 95% total. The number of students expected for enrollment in the 10th grade of high schools in the school year of 2023-2024 is 19,283 students or 70% of total. The 10th grade entrance exam of public high schools in the province will be held on June 1 and 2. For candidates taking the entrance exam to Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, they must take additional specialized tests on June 3 and 4. Private high schools do not hold entrance exams like public high schools, but only organize admissions after the results of the entrance exam scores are available for public high schools within the time period specified by provincial Department of Education and Training.
The 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the school year of 2023-2024 is held by the entrance exam method.
