11,325 tons of rice donated from the government to people in Binh Duong in hardship due to Covid-19 epidemic

On August 20, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1415/QD-TTg on the distribution of rice from the national reserve to 24 provinces and cities across the nation to support people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic. To implement the decision, the Ministry of Finance will issue 130,175 tons of rice from the national reserve without collecting money to 24 provinces and centrally-run cities to support people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic in  year 2021.

Accordingly, Binh Duong was granted 11,325 tons of rice, Ho Chi Minh city nearly 71,105 tons, Dong Nai province 3,128 tons, Long An 807 tons and so on. Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Ministry of Finance handled specifically as prescribed and are  responsible for the information and data reports. People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities are responsible for the accuracy of the reported data and timely and appropriate support to the right subjects and norms according to regulations and the disease prevention and control work locally.

The People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities shall report remaining difficulties after the implementation to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Ministry of Finance to submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and continual support. The decision takes effect on August 20.
