118 scholarships awarded to poor-but-excellent pupils

Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) has just awarded 118 scholarships worth between VND1.5million and VND2.5million each and to poor-but-excellent pupils in TDM city and Thuan An town.

Among them, 58 were for poor-but-excellent pupils in TDM city and 60 for those in Thuan An town. It is known that since 2009, CEP has offered nearly 11,000 scholarships and learning tools to needy pupils with good academic results with a total value of more than VND35.5billion.

*The Women’s Union of Tan Lap commune in North Tan Uyen district has just donated 550 sets of clothes worth VND70million to 183 primary-school pupils.

In addition, the local Women’s Union has coordinated with sectors, mass organizations and the Staff under provincial Military Command to give 50 gifts worth VND20million for pupils with extremely difficult circumstances. This activity aimed to help the local pupils surmount difficulties and rise up in study.
