*150 scholarships to be awarded to disabled pupils
On the occasion of the National Day of Protection and Care for Disabled People (April 18), provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People-Orphans and Poor Patients, on April 17, visited and presented 50 gifts worth VND250,000 each, including sugar, milk, confectionary and VND100,000 in cash, to disabled people in North Tan Uyen district’s Lac An commune.
Prior to that, Nguyen Van Nam, Chairman of Sponsoring Association for Disabled People-Orphans and Poor Patients also led a delegation to visit and donate 150 gifts to disabled people at provincial Vocational Training Center for Disabled People (photo) and others in Bau Bang district’s Lai Uyen commune.
*Provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People-Orphans and Poor Patients has mobilized the Executive Board of provincial Buddhist Sangha to support 150 scholarships worth VND1mln each for disabled and orphan children with difficulties. These scholarships will be awarded by the Association on May 2 ahead.
It is expected that the Association will further mobilize organizations and individuals to offer 50 scholarships, 50 bicycles and 50 wheelchairs for orphan, disabled pupils with difficult circumstances.
