On June 13, at Thu Dau Mot University, the 22nd Youth IT Contest 2018 of Binh Duong Province was held with the participation of 163 young contestants from 9 districts, towns, and cities throughout the province.

The contest is hosted by Binh Duong Provincial Union in collaboration with Department of Information and Communications, Department of Science and Technology, and Department of Education and Training. Within 163 contestants, Group A (primary) had 62 candidates, Group B (junior high) had 51 candidates, Group C (high school) had 45 candidates, youngest candidate was 9 years old. Particularly, Group D had 6 innovative software products with 11 contestants, including D2 table with 3 products and D3 table with 3 products. Candidates competed in Skill Competition (Group A, B, C) and Creative Contest (Group D).
The contest aimed to discover and foster young talents to choose a team to attend the 24th Youth IT Contest 2018, which was scheduled to take place in late July and early August in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. This was a central and significant activity of Provincial Youth Union in promoting and developing the movement of learning, creativity and application of information technology in provincial youth.
