Thuan An town ‘s Steering Board of Voluntary Blooc Donation Mobilization has just held a conference to extend orientations, tasks in 2018 and honor outstanding collectives, individuals in the local voluntary blood donation campaign last year.
Accordingly, in order to collect 2,100 units of blood, beyond 100 units of blood compared to the set target in 2018, the Steering Board will further boost propaganda work, thereby raising awareness of officials, civil servants, members and volunteers about the significance of voluntary blood donation while opportunely honoring outstanding collectives, individuals in the local voluntary blood donation campaign.
It is known that the Steering Board last year organized 9 voluntary blood donation stages, luring 3,070 people with 2,215 units of blood given or more than 110% of the set plan.
On this occasion, the town’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 21 collectives and 160 individuals for their excellent performance in the local voluntary blood donation campaign last year.
