Over the past five years, Ben Cat town’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) built 184 great unity houses worth more than VND4bln; mobilized organizations, individuals to raise more than VND144mln for poor children to enjoy heart surgery; teamed up with relevant agencies to help 1,230 households get more than VND12bln in loan for economic development…
The town’s FFCs at all levels also mobilized organizations and individuals to offer more help to 2,586 households with more than 1,870 working days, VND10.85bln in loan, over 55,000 nurslings, nearly 1,500 breeding animals, nearly 7,000 kg of rice. This contributed to reducing the rate of poor households in the town under the province’s new poverty line to 349 or 0.91% of total.
Le Anh Quy, Chairman of the town’s FFC said that one of highlights done by the local FFC over the past time was to effectively carry out the Joint Resolution No.01 between the Vietnam FFC and the Ministry of Public Security on the campaign “All people take part in defending national security”, the Project No.01-138/CP of the Government on “Mobilizing all people to prevent and denouce crime, educate wrongdoers at family and in the community”.
