Early December 27, 1st and 2nd graders in Ben Cat town returned to school after a long time of learning online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tran Quoc Tuan primary school in My Phuoc ward’s quarter 2 received more than 280 1st and 2nd graders while more than 500 others in these two blocks are still learning online at home. According to the town's Division of Education and Training, there are 19 public and non-public primary schools organizing in-person learning and teaching for more than 1,600 1st and 2nd graders while more than 4,000 others in these two blocks are still learning online at home.
Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Principal of Tran Quoc Tuan primary school said that the school conducted quick Covid-19 testing for all staff, teachers and took body temperature checks for all students; guided students how to take measures against the pandemic. These students were brought into classrooms by teachers and they all wore masks. For teachers, they must conduct quick Covid-19 testing every 3 days. The school is also equipped with a preventive medicine room to quickly handle suspected cases with signs of fever, cough...It is expected that by February 7, 2022, all students will return to school if the pandemic is well controlled.
