Mid-Autumn festival coming to everywhere
On these days, provincial Child Support Fund has always been busy with preparatory activities for the 2013 Mid-Autumn festival for children. Along with gifts, many other things, including scholarships, are also prepared for poor-but-excellent pupils on the occasion of the 2013 Mid-Autumn festival.
Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Director of provincial Child Support Fund said that the Fund has so far transferred 700 Mid-Autumn gifts to its affiliates. These gifts will be presented to children with difficulties, contributing to bringing them a warm and significant Mid-Autumn festival.
In addition to 100 gifts from provincial Child Support Fund, Tan Uyen district has extracted its State budget to buy 550 gifts worth VND200,000 each for disadvantaged children across the district. The district will also organize the 2013 Mid-Autumn festival with many interesting activities for the local children. On this occasion, poor-but-excellent pupils across the district will be awarded scholarships, helping them further their learning. Pham Van Loi, Chairman of Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee said that upon the local real situation, the district will try to completely organize a Mid-Autumn program named “Full-moon festival” for the local children.
Province-based schools is promptly launching competitions on making beautiful Mid-Autumn lanterns among pupils. Nguyen Quoc Lam, a pupil of Chu Van An junior high school in TDM city said: “We have thought and decided to make a “Navy vessel”-shaped lantern to attend this year’s competition on making beautiful Mid-Autumn lanterns. This lantern is of great significance for us, expressing their heart that is always towards national sea and islands”. Hence, on these days, Lam and his class have tried to make this lantern, aiming to create a good impression on the competition’s jury and all viewers.
Whole society taking care of children on Mid-Autumn festival
Together with State budget, provincial Child Support Fund has also received contributions from 30 units to organize a full-moon festival tonight, September 16.
TDM city’s Students Club-House will also team up with the Youth Union of Phu Loi ward in TDM city to kick off a program named “Beloved full-moon night” for 84 children at provincial Vocational Training Center for Disable People on August 15 of lunar calendar. Whilst, many donors have visited children at provincial Social Support Center and presented Mid-Autumn gifts to them.
On these days, many delegations have also visited and presented Mid-Autumn gifts to children at Que Huong Charity Center. Huynh Cam Binh, Director of Dai Phat Food and Trading Co.Ltd’ Marketing Department said: “Children at the center are starved of affection, so I always share love and affection with them and consider it as my responsibility”. It is known that the company has donated VND60mln together with moon cakes to children at Que Huong Charity Center on the occasion of the 2013 Mid-Autumn festival.
The 2013 Mid-Autumn festival is approaching. With diversified activities, it is sure that this year’s Mid-Autumn festival in Binh Duong, especially its full-moon festival tonight will be very significant and full of adults’ love, affection for the local children.
