On April 21, Thu Dau Mot city People’s Committee launched a plan in response to the 2014 national week on clean water and environmental hygiene with the theme of strengthening management and exploitation of water supply works and effective and sustainable hygiene.
During the launching period from April 29 to May 6, Thu Dau Mot city will focus on pushing up dissemination and education to raise awareness and importance of clean water and environmental hygiene at residential areas, contributing to improve people’s awareness on using clean water and maintaining environmental hygiene in an attempt to protect the community’s health and control disease epidemics as well as reach goals of the national program on clean water and environmental hygiene in the period of 2012-2015.
The municipal authority will launch plenty of campaigns through concrete activities such as mobilizing the community to protect water resources, dredging canals in attachment to cleaning environment, planting green trees, clearing obstruction of canals and among others.
