2015 “Drops of blood for beloved comrades” voluntary blood donation festival goes jubilantly

Humanitarian blood donation is a noble deed with profound human significance. In a bid to promote this deed among officials and soldiers, provincial Police Agency has just kicked off the 2015 voluntary blood donation festival named “Drops of blood for beloved comrades”. Present at the event were more than 400 officials, soldiers and Youth Union members under provincial Police Agency.

At the festival, members of provincial Police Agency’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation, including provincial Red Cross Society, provincial Police Agency, provincial Youth Union and 30-4 Hospital, signed a joint agreement on ensuring the effective implementation of the voluntary blood donation campaign. Senior lieutenant colonel, doctor Nguyen Thi Thai An, Head of the Hematology Ward under the 30-4 Hospital also had a talk show entitled “Health in general and humanitarian blood donation in particular” at the festival.

Major General Vo Thanh Duc, Director of provincial Police Agency cum Head of provincial Police Agency’s Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation also presented symbolic gifts worth VND32mln to 27 policy beneficiary families and 13 heroic Vietnamese mothers in some districts and towns of the province.

Along with enjoying animated art performances, officials, soldiers and Youth Union members in the sector had a chance to take part in a “safe driving” competition at the festival.
