On May 30, Di An town’s Steering Board of Summer Activities held a ceremony to open the 2015 summer activities and Action Month for Children themed “Listen to children”.
During the Action Month, the Steering Board will focus on educating the local children a good lifestyle, patriotic traditions while raising their awareness of environmental protection; boost programs on vocational training and social welfare such as opening free classes on informatics, organizing “Green Sunday”, “green summer” campaigns…; kick off the 2015 “red phoenix-flower” singing contest…
The local government and mass organizations will also join hands to realize many practical activities such as preventing accidents involving children, giving vocational advice and training for children with difficult circumstances, making protection of children against family-related violence…
*The same day, Ben Cat town’s Steering Board of Summer Activities 2015 organized a ceremony to open the 2015 summer activities and Action Month for Children while kicking off a camping festival named “Children with environmental protection” at Phu An Bamboo Village.
After the opening ceremony, the local children had a chance to enjoy art performances, take part in animated games and a contest on “Children with environmental protection”.
The Steering Board also awarded gifts worth VND4mln to poor-but-excellent pupils in Phu An commune.
It is known that Ben Cat town this summer will organize diverse activities for the local children, contributing to taking care of their spiritual lives for comprehensive growth.
*Tan Uyen town’s Steering Board of Summer Activities also held a ceremony to open the 2015 summer activities and Action Month for Children themed “Listen to children” on May 30.
At the launching ceremony, the Steering Board presented 200 gifts worth VND200,000 each to poor-but-excellent pupils while establishing the town’s club on skills.
The local children also had a chance to participate in a “joyful summer” festival with such fun-filled activities as folk games, a drawing contest themed “For a green world”. It is known that the town will get animated with diverse activities for the local children during the 2015 Action Month for Children.
*On May 30, Bau Bang district’s Steering Board of Summer Activities also held a ceremony to open the 2015 summer activities and Action Month for Children while holding the 2015 competition on “Children with environmental protection”, with the participation of nearly 400 local children.
Addressing the ceremony, representative of the Steering Board asked for the local authorities at all levels to pay attention to caring for children, especially those with difficult circumstances.
After the ceremony, the district’s Youth Union also organized the “Children with environmental protection” contest with the participation of 8 teams from district-based primary, high junior schools.
