2018 provincial Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week launched

A ceremony to launch the 2018 provincial Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week was held at provincial Labor Culture Center yesterday morning, May 3, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; leaders of sectors, departments together with nearly 500 trade union officials and workers in the province.

At the ceremony, Mr.Hung praised accomplishments done by workforce over the past time and affirmed that the province’s development came from great contributions by them. Hence, this will be the month with focus of the local administration and business community’s activities taking care of workers’ spiritual and material lives.

On this occasion, the organizers awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee to 15 enterprises well realizing a task of providing workers with meals. Becamex IDC also offered a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on handing over 3 hectares of land at Bau Bang district’s Administrative Center to relevant units to build a culture center for workers.

Kim Oanh Real Estate Services-Trading and Construction Joint Stock Company funded construction of 28/7 kindergarten in phase 2 with VND18billion at Ben Cat town-based My Phuoc Industrial Park. Provincial People’s Committee also gave 100 gifts worth VND1million each for good-but-poor workers. Kim Sang Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company and VNPT’s Binh Duong branch donated 220 gifts to workers with difficult circumstances. The two units also signed a MoU on applying welfare policies for workers. Whilst, provincial Support Fund for Alien Young Workers offered 10 support packages in cash at between VND1million and VND3million each to needy alien workers.

A text-message campaign to raise fund for the program of “Accompanying women in border areas” was also launched at the ceremony.
