*Thuan An gives 50 “Sharing dreams” scholarships for poor pupils
Early September 8, provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Education and Training in collaboration with Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in HCM city and the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kocham) in the province held the 3rd ceremony awarding “Kocham-Making dreams come true” scholarships to pupils with difficult circumstances at provincial Exhibition-Convention Center. Attending the ceremony was Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

Accordingly, 220 scholarships worth approximately VND600million were given for needy pupils. Among them, 143 worth VND2million each were for secondary school pupils and 77 worth VND4million each for high school pupils. It is known that over the past 7 years, province-based Kocham spent more than VND2billion on social charity activities. So far, 565 “Kocham-Making dreams come true” scholarships worth more than VND1.5billion have been awarded to pupils with difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Hung affirmed that over the past time, province-based Kocham and Korean businesses joined hands with the local government to well realize social welfare while wanting that they will further help needy cases rise up in life.
*Early September 8, Thuan An town’s Fatherland Front Committee and Kien Long Commercial Joint Stock Bank’s Lai Thieu branch co-held a ceremony to award “Sharing dreams” scholarships worth VND1million each plus notebooks to 50 needy pupils at 3 high schools in the town, namely Nguyen Trai, Tran Van On and Trinh Hoai Duc.
