To promote the movement of “Taking physical exercise in accordance with the example of great Uncle Ho”, provincial Student Association has just kicked off the second Student Sports Festival at Vietnam-Singapore Vocational College. This was an useful playground for the local students to exchange and strengthen solidarity.
The festival absorbed 148 athletes from 10 province-based universities and colleges. They competed in two events: badminton and football.
Finally, the organizers awarded first prize in the women’s football tournament to Binh Duong University. First prize in the men’s football tournament went to the facility 2 of Irrigation University.
For badminton, Nguyen Minh Hien of Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology grasped first prize in the men’s singles event. Phan Mai Phuong of Binh Duong University of Economic and Technology won first prize in the women’s singles event.
Trinh Thi Thuy Hang, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Student Association said: “This is one of practical activities done by provincial Student Association, contributing to raising the spiritual lives of students at province-based universities and colleges”.
Province-based universities and colleges also organized their student sports festivals with attractive events at Thu Dau Mot University. Nearly 800 students took part in sports events, including those of skipping, playing with a hoop…, helping students play and improve their health.
