On July 13, Binh Duong provincial Police held a ceremony to award certificates of merit from the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee to 3 individuals with a brave spirit participating in supporting the arrest of robbers at a bank branch in the area of Lai Uyen town of Bau Bang district in April.
Bank robber Nguyen Tan Phat of 26 years old and native of Binh Phuoc used a gun to threaten bank employees to rob the money. However, Luong Huy Phuong, the bank's security guard, with the support of some other people, was able to control and hand him over to Bau Bang district Police. During the process, Luong Huy Phuong was injured. For the endeavors, the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee presented certificates of merit to Luong Huy Phuong, Bui Nhat Huy from Binh Phuoc province and Nguyen Hoang Anh Tuan living in Lai Uyen town of Bau Bang district.
