3rd Bach Dang Pomelo Festival is expected to take place in late January 2024

In order to promote the local tourism development as well as tourism products, Tan Uyen city’s People's Committee will organize the third Bach Dang Pomelo Festival from January 25 to 28, 2024.

Accordingly, the festival will feature such meaningful and practical activities as fair displaying various grapefruits, citrus fruits and typical agricultural products; technical instructions for planting and caring for various plants; homeland cuisine; trips to tourist sites in the city; contest of painting on conical hats; don ca tai tu” (southern folk opera) festival "Tan Uyen- spring rendezvous"; performance of songs about Tan Uyen... In addition, there will be a workshop introducing advanced organic agricultural technology processes, honoring outstanding pomelo growers.

Doan Hong Tuoi, Vice-Secretary of Tan Uyen city’s Party Committee, Chairman of the city’s People's Committee said that the 3rd Bach Dang Pomelo Festival aims at promoting economic connection, trade, services and tourism development under the general orientation of the province and the Resolution of the  city’s 12th Party Congress; propagandizing the Project on building a model new-style rural commune for the period of 2021-2025 in association with the pilot construction of "Smart Village" in Bach Dang commune; promoting cultural, artistic and sports activities to serve the cultural and spiritual needs of the people, linking cultural activities with the introduction of pomelo products and products serving the city’s ​​tourism sector on the occasion of celebrating the New Year and the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2024.

The new feature of the festival is that integrating with the festival’s program, the city’s People's Committee and Labor Union will organize activities to care for workers so that everyone can welcome a warm spring with sentimental attachment.
