On the morning of December 7, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Women’s Union in collaboration with the Vietnam Elderly Association organized a conference to honor exemplary elderly women nationwide in building a cultural, prosperous, and happy family. Present at the conference was Mr. Do Van Chien, a member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Party, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The conference honored and acknowledged 291 exemplary elderly women who have made significant contributions to building cultural, prosperous, equal, and happy families. They were selected from grassroots levels, representing over 9 million elderly women nationwide. Binh Duong province has 4 exemplary elderly women recognized, including: Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Lan (Bach Dang Commune, Tan Uyen city), Vu Thi Tuat (Minh Tan Commune, Dai Tien district), Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, and Ninh Thi Thu Huong (Thu Dau Mot city). These are officials from the Elderly Association and the Women's Union who have excelled for many consecutive years, contributing to the development of the local association movement, building happy families, and being exemplary in life.

Speaking at the conference, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen stated that the honoring ceremony aims to inspire pride, spread the beautiful traditions of Vietnamese women, convey positive messages, and educate the good traditions to the younger generation, families, and communities; while also encouraging and motivating the elderly across the country to continue promoting the spirit of elderly excellence in building a cultural, prosperous, and happy family.
