Tan Uyen district Red Cross Society just held a summing up conference on local Red Cross movement 2011. Reportedly, social activity has been paid attention by donors and bodies at all levels. Program of granting scholarships to poor students has been maintained whilst models of capital and fertilizer assistance have helped 766 members develop household economy. Club for volunteers has contributed to activities including nutritious meals for the poor, charity house building and so on.
The conference deputies heard about reports on efficiency of community healthcare, social activity and fund building work.
On the occasion, the district People’s Committee granted merit certificates to 40 collectives and individuals wining excellent achievements in the Red Cross activity.
