In 40 years, education in Di An Town has been developed on the basis of poverty and challenges of facilities. Through time, the education sector of the locality eyed modern achievements of both facilities and teaching staffs for the cause of education as directed by President Ho Chi Minh.

40 years ago on the day of nation unification, education in Vietnam was to eliminate illiteracy and build up knowledge foundation to develop. Education in Song Be Province was of no exception. To eliminate illiteracy, local teachers were so determined to bring writing to the people. Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh, Principal of Nhi Dong Elementary School in Di An Town retold the days of his youth and passion to pursue the teaching career without thinking much about the low salary payments. That very love and passion for teaching had encouraged them, the teachers, to keep on for a brighter future.

Of the same love and for her students, Ms. Dinh Thi Tuyet Nga, Principal of Hoa Hong 7 Kindergarten, retold the days of nation unification as school could be organized in every places including temples and pagodas. On daily basis, she started her day at 4:00 A.M. on her old bicycle getting through 20km to school. Family members talked her of teaching but she kept on and pursued the career up to date. By now, in a position of schooling institution manager, Nga facilitates the best conditions for the teachers to fulfill their roles. Necessarily, she even gets to their homes to encourage their endeavors.
Achievements gained
Looking back 40 years, education in Di An Town has been earning tremendous achievements for their career. Currently, education in Di An Town has been developed in terms of scale and quantity. The first 3 schools in Di An Town have been expanded into 36 schools, of which 25 have been nationally standardized and constructed with storeys. To earn such achievements, education in Di An Town has been taken care of by authorities and Binh Duong Provincial Department of Education and Training. Besides, efforts and determination for challenges overcoming of managers and staffs have been counted. As a result, 29 teachers in Di An Town have been entitled 5 consecutive years of excellent emulation movements from 2002 to 2007.
Tran Dang Nam, an elite teacher and Head of Di An Town Education and Training informed of high and increasing ratio of university entrance examination passing. Particularly in 2014, such ratio gained 60% and Di An Town became a model locality of education as Di An Senior High School shows the highest training proficiency though not comparable to Hung Vuong Specialized High School in Thu Dau Mot City.
Despite the fruits of 4 decades, education in Di An Town is still facing problems regarding teaching and learning quality. Accordingly, into the spotlight would be the cooperation of family, schools, and the society. Besides, local education authority continues to expand its facilities to catch up with physically rapid development. More particularly, the standardization of the teaching staffs and student attendance has been improved to match the titles of excellent education unit through years.
