On December 23, the Red Cross of Thu Dau Mot city collaborated with the Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital to organize a voluntary blood donation drive. With the meaningful purpose of saving lives through blood donation, the event attracted a large number of officials, members, and volunteers from colleges, universities, as well as workers from companies and enterprises across the city.
Following health screening procedures, the Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital successfully collected 400 units of blood, which will be added to the blood reserve to support medical treatment in the near future. This blood donation drive is counted toward the mobilization target for the year 2025.
To achieve the target for the upcoming year, the city’s Red Cross plans to innovate its methods of communication and mobilization to raise awareness among officials, members, and the public about the voluntary blood donation movement. This effort aims to help everyone understand the benefits and significance of blood donation, encouraging active participation and further promoting and expanding the movement in the future.
