This instruction is set out by Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee at the April 1 meeting of launching plan on holding the 40th anniversary of Southern liberation and national unification day (April 30, 1975-2015). Accordingly, the anniversary will be organized solemnly with many significant activities.
Affirming position and great role and historic value of Spring 1975 victory, Binh Duong will hold many memorial activities on the event. The official anniversary will be held on parade, meeting and performance. Accordingly, parade force has about 3,900 people and 22 flower-decorated carriages.
Aside from main activities, the event will include an exhibition named “Binh Duong province – 40 years of building and development” at the provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. The exhibition will have about 300-500 stalls of departments, agencies, mass bodies, armed forces and enterprises. The exhibition will introduce local achievements of socio-economy in the period of 1975-2015, local orientation of development in the period of 2015-2020, fields of industry, agriculture, trade-service, foreign economy, informatics technology, investment, culture, education and more, key works, planning on industrial parks, tourism, residential area, urban planning and urban architecture works.
On April 21, 2015, a memorial ceremony will take place at Dau Tieng district martyrs cemetery. The ceremony will be solemnly held to pay tribute to martyrs and revolutionary contributors. In addition, the anniversary will consist of floral tribute to the provincial Martyrs cemetery and firework at the provincial administration center and more.
The 40th anniversary of Southern liberation and national unification day is to educate patriotic tradition, profound gratitude for heroes and martyrs as well as create a lively ambience to meet entertainment demand for local residents. Additionally, the anniversary is to inspire people’s pride and trust for the Party and State, encourage the entire Party, people and army to excel the national renewal, celebrate the all level party congress and bound for the 12th national party congress.
In order to enrich significance of this anniversary, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee asked the local department of Culture, Sport and Tourism in cooperation with units to arrange exhibition stalls properly, supplement book exhibition of the provincial library into the exhibition themed “Binh Duong province – 40 years of construction and development”.
Meanwhile, the local department of Culture, Sport and Tourism invites other units to join in the event in a bid to increase plentifulness and diversity.
