On the afternoon of August 12, provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce and put the local Covid-19 emergency resuscitation field hospital into operation. The event was attended by Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Minister of Health; Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, sectors in the province; leaders of Thuan An city and Becamex IDC. The birth of the hospital will contribute to further improving the efficiency of the care and treatment of Covid-19 patients, especially those with severe symptoms...
Meeting requirements of the pandemic situation
Speaking at the ceremony, Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC cum General Director of provincial Covid-19 emergency resuscitation field hospital said that the pandemic has recently broken out on a large scale with many sources of infection, outbreaks and variants, especially the appearance of the Delta variant with a very fast and dangerous spread. The number of critical cases and deaths is higher than before. The medical examination and treatment system is facing great challenges. Especially, the 2nd and 3rd floor treatment lines of the "3-storey" tower treatment model are overloaded. From that fact, after being assigned the task of operating the Binh Duong No. 1 field hospital and the treatment area for Covid-19 patients in Thoi Hoa, Becamex IDC has continued being responsible for operating provincial Covid-19 emergency resuscitation field hospital. The hospital is located at Becamex International General Hospital with the task of collecting, treating Covid-19 patients from moderate to severe and dangerous levels.
Leaders of the Ministry of Health and the province visit the area to monitor treatment for Covid-10 patients through the camera system
The Covid-19 emergency resuscitation field hospital has officially came into operation and is under the direct instruction of provincial People's Committee. It is also under the professional management of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention-Control and provincial Department of Health.
Accordingly, the hospital has 437 beds, including 300 beds for severe patients, 37 beds for critically patients and 100 beds for moderate patients. Not only invested more in modern equipment, the hospital also inherits modern facilities of Becamex International General Hospital together with highly qualified, dedicated human resources and support from the Ministry of Health. Specifically, the Ministry of Health has assigned Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital to join the hospital’s leadership board and hold the role of being the Medical Director of the hospital while mobilizing human resources at Hanoi Medical University Hospital to provide professional support for the hospital.
Mr. Thuan added that the Ministry of Health will continue mobilizing health workers from non-business units under the Ministry of Health and from the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to provide additional support for the hospital to ensure the best treatment effeciency. The hospital is also equipped with modern digital management softwares to ensure transparent and effective management, the best care for patients, and minimize the rate of mortality.
Improving treatment efficiency for F0 cases
In order to improve the treatment efficiency for F0 cases, especially patients with critical symptoms, provincial Covid-19 emergency resuscitation field hospital was quickly completed within 6 days. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Minh said that in the face of the unpredictable developments of Covid-19 pandemic, provincial People's Committee officially put provincial Covid-19 emergency resuscitation field hospital into operation after nearly a week of rapid construction in order to narrow the "red zone", expand the "green zone", and quickly "separate" F0 cases out of the community for treatment, limiting the number of F0 cases increasing rapidly and minimizing deaths so that Binh Duong could return to the "new normal" state. The construction of the hospital is to serve emergency and treatment of Covid-19 patients on the 3rd floor under the guidance of the Ministry of Health. In addition to modern medical equipment and qualified medical workers, the hospital is also equipped with advanced digital management softwares to manage the collection and treatment of patients with the goal of providing the best care for patients. He hopes that all hospital staff will continue promoting the spirit of fighting, overcoming difficulties, and improving the effectiveness of coordination, care and treatment for patients, especially severe ones.
