In response to the Action Month for Children and Vietnam Family Day, June 28, the Central Committee of Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the General Department of Political Affairs under the Vietnam People's Army to organize the 2023 Sunflower summer camp for orphans at Viettel Academy in Thach That district’s Thach Hoa commune in Hanoi. The delegation from Binh Duong had 5 pairs of godmothers and orphans, Women's Union cadres in charge of the "Godmother" program.
According to the organizing board, among the participants, there are 100 outstanding mother - child pairs from 39 provinces and cities in the implementation of the "Godmother" program representing regions of the country. This is an opportunity for 100 mother-child pairs to meet and exchange. They will meet leaders of the Party and State; visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Uncle Ho's stilt house, Hanoi capital; exchange with Viettel football players; participate in training courses on skills, career orientation, a gala on summer camp summary...
The Sunflower summer camp spreads the human values of the "Godmother" program, responds to the Action Month for Children and Vietnam Family Day 2023 and is an opportunity for the Vietnam Women's Union to express gratitude to individuals, organizations and units that have accompanied all-level Women’s Unions in the process of implementing the "Godmother" program during the past years.
