The tenure 2010-2015 elapsed. Under the attention and direction of Di An town Party Committee, People's Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, efforts of all teachers, and support of local people, educational – training sector of the town gained remarkable achievements. Di An town has become one example of comprehensive educational movement, leading localities in educational movement of the province… This is definitely a motivation for educational sector to strive more in the coming term.
Focusing on infrastructure investment
One joy came to Di An town educational sector right before the happening of Di An town Party Congress (tenure 2015-2020). That was the inauguration of Tan Dong Hiep B primary school with total investment of over VND77 billion. The school opened on occasion of beginning of new school year 2015-2016 will reduce pressure of overloading for elementary level.
Additionally, the town also started construction of An Binh A primary school invested by municipal People’s Committee with total cost of over VND60 billion, total capacity of nearly 1,000 pupils. An Binh A primary school will contribute to create a spacious, modern learning environment, improving teaching and learning quality.
Leaders of Department of Education and Training, Di An town People’s Committee presented flowers to the opening ceremony of Nguyen An Ninh high school.
Mr. Tran Dang Nam, Head of Di An town Education and Training Bureau, said: “Di An town has 25/38 schools meeting national standards, and is one provincial locality having the highest number of schools meeting national standards. This is our goal to improve teaching quality.
Improving comprehensively educational quality
Another success of municipal educational sector in the last tenure was that teaching quality has been increasing. During the term, ratio of pupils graduating elementary education reached 99.9%, ratio of pupils graduating secondary education was 96.1%, ratio of pupils graduating high school was 99.9%. 59.14% pupils were admitted to colleges and universities.
In the emulation movement of 2 goods, the good pupil number increased annually (increased averagely 25%/year), especially the number of pupils good at math, computing, foreign languages has been on provincial top. Proficient teachers ratio was nearly 30% of the province. Teaching staff have improved political awareness, professional knowledge. The proportion of teacher meeting national standard reached 99.8% including 82.8% teachers surpassing standard.
According to Ms. Hoang Le Chi, Vice Chairman of municipal People’s Committee, educational sector has been consolidated with many highlights. Implementing the Central Resolution and town action program of innovating comprehensively municipal education. Teaching and learning quality has been bettered, has met national standards. These results came from relentless efforts and determination of the whole Party and people in the area.
Confidently entering the new term
Achievements in the last tenure are motivations for the town educational sector to put more effort into educational reform movement in the new term. According to Mr. Tran Dang Nam, Head of Di An town Education and Training Bureau, in the 2015-2020 tenure, the sector will strive for fulfilling targets of building up schools meeting national standards, 90% schools meeting national standards in 2020; 100% children going to school, 94% pupils finishing elementary and secondary education, maintaining high school graduation rate…
"On the other hand, the sector will implement well the Central Resolution and town action program to build up friendly educational environment; maintain and enhance the quality of education at all levels; promoting educational socialization to mobilize investments in education…”, said Mr. Nam.
