Ben Cat town-based Industrial Parks (IPs)’Trade Union, on May 9, held a ceremony to launch the 2017 provincial Action Month for Labor Safety-Hygiene and Young Workers’ Week, in attendance of more than 300 Trade Union officials and workers representing 85,000 trade unionists and workers across the town.
Reportedly, the town-based IPs’Trade Union has continuously carried out propaganda and training activities on food safety and hygiene; launched the “green, clean and nice” emulation movement, ensuring labor safety-hygiene, preventing fire-explosive cases…to minimize the number of fire cases, labor accidents at companies while building up a safe working environment for workers. During the Young Workers’ Month 2017, the Trade Union has asked for its branches to further petition functional agencies to strengthen inspection, supervision and monitoring over the implementation of the Law Code, labor safety-hygiene, health insurance, social insurance…among enterprises; opportunely discover and seriously handle infringements in order to protect laborers’ legitimate rights and interests. They also need to take better care of the spiritual and material lives of laborers.
On this occasion, the Trade Union presented 10 gifts to workers hit by labor accidents; awarded the certificates of merit to 50 outstanding individuals and collectives in the task of labor safety-hygiene and fire-explosive prevention in 2016.
