Provincial Steering Board of the 6th Week for Young Workers has determined to take care of all aspects in young workers’ spiritual and material lives, helping them feel secured to work and have a long-term attachment with the business community, contributing to promoting the development of Binh Duong homeland.

Week for Young Workers has discussed some measures to mobilize the entire
society to join hands in taking care of young workers. Accordingly, the
province will organize activities of the week in association with the Workers’
Month 2013 launched by the Vietnam
General Confederation of Labor.

As planned, the 6th provincial Week for Young Workers will take place with many significant activities, including mobilizing enterprises and donors to subscribe around VND300mln to the local support fund for alien young people with difficulties; providing free medical check-ups and medicine for more than 1,000 young workers; organizing 2 joyful market-days with a wide range of products offered discounts for young workers in the rural region of the province…
The “Lighting up dreams” program entitled “Young workers set themselves up in business” is an indispensable activity for the week with the goal of honoring outstanding young workers in all aspects. The week will be also very significant with a job day that not only introduces jobs to young workers, but also provides them with job consultancy. In addition, the organizers will organize classes on computer of levels A and B free of charge for 500 young workers.
Noticeably, the “Youth and international integration” program will contribute to improving the role and responsibility of young workers to national integration and progress. The organizers will also organize 6 law dissemination programs for young workers; develop at least 30 mass organizations at foreign-invested companies.
To grassroots-level activities
During the week, each district, town and city in the province will organize at least 5 activities, develop additional 3 mass organizations; mobilize organizations and individuals to present at least 20 support packages to alien young workers; organize cultural-sports activities for young workers…
Many other grassroots-level activities will be also held during the week, including job days, meetings with local leaders, ceremonies to honor outstanding young workers, programs on legal consultancy, reproductive health…Especially, provincial Support Center for Young Laborers will kick off 5 useful playgrounds at weekend for young workers, a contest on young workers’beauty; organize a class on life skills and 2 programs of “giving strength to laborers”.
Such these apart, province-based enterprises and Youth Union branches will hold at least one program on activities of culture-sports and care of laborers’ lives. The organizers will also mobilize enterprises to donate at least 30 support packages to young workers with difficulties.
Addressing a recent conference to implement the 6th provincial Week for Young Workers, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi asked for steering boards at all levels, sectors and mass organizations to have good preparations for key activities during the week, aiming to raise awareness of laborers and the whole society about the event He also affirmed that the 6th provincial Week for Young Workers in association with the Workers’ Month 2013 would be a chance for authorities at all levels to express their profound attention to young workers while encouraging them to keep their mind on work in Binh Duong.
