* Additional 8 cases involved Covid-19 patient 2999 under contact tracing
On the morning of May 6, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of provincial Department of Health said that 73 cases related to the Covid-19 outbreaks across the country had the first negative test results for Covid-19. Among them, there were 50 cases involved Chinese positive cases of Cocid-19 in Da Nang city.

With these 50 cases, the local health sector took 2 single samples (1 in Tan An ward, Thu Dau Mot city; 1 in Gelon Company at Protrade International Industrial Park in Ben Cat town’s An Tay commune and 10 aggregate samples for 48 workers at Det Chun Joint Stock Company in Ben Cat town’s An Tay commune.
For the case of entry testing positive for Covid-19 in Cambodia announced by Ho Chi Minh city-based Pasteur Institute, the local healthcare also supervised 7 related cases. On May 5, the sector promptly isolated and took the first sample for one case in Binh An ward’s Chau Thoi quarter in Di An city who was on a flight VN113 with the Covid-19 patient 2999 in Dong Nai on May 3.
Also on May 5, the local health sector made concentrated quarantine and took a testing sample for one case involved the Covid-19 patient 2989. This case is in Binh Chuan ward’s Binh Phuoc A quarter in Thuan An city, sharing the flight QH2166 with the Covid-19 patient 2989 from Can Tho - Da Nang on April 29. Through the investigation, the sector has verified 12 cases of F2, who have been isolated at home and in their companies ‘tenement houses.
Dr. Chuong said that the province’s risk of the Covid-19 outbreak is very high, so people need to seriously comply with the "5K" message recommended by the Ministry of Health. The local health sector is actively coordinating with relevant units to urgently trace contacts of high-risk cases, quickly preventing the spreading of the pandemic in the community.

These cases were sampled and are waiting for test results. Specifically, there were 7 cases of sharing the flight VN113 with the Covid-19 patient. The local healthcare made contact tracing for 4 cases in Ben Cat town’s Thoi Hoa ward and the rest in Thu Dau Mot city’s Chanh Nghia ward and Thuan An city’s Binh Hoa ward. Currently, the sector is investigating F2 cases.
In addition to these 7 cases of sharing the VN113 flight with the Covid-19 patient, the sector also monitored 1 case in Tan Hung commune’s hamlet 3 in Bau Bang District with 5 friends (4 in Da Nang, 1 in Dong Thap) who went to New Orient Bar on April 28. This location has been posted by the Ministry of Health in the emergency notification No. 39, finding people who were present in locations where Covid-19 patients went to. The above case has been isolated at Tan Hung communal Medical Center in Bau Bang district. The sector also took the case’s sample for Covid-19 testing and is waiting for result.
