Early September 1, provincial Committee for Catholic Solidarity held the 7th provincial Catholic Congress on National Construction and Defense for the 2013 and 201 tenure.
The congress reviewed the implementation of patriotic emulation movements of the local Catholic community in the last tenure; assessed and defined orientations, tasks for the coming tenure at requirements in the cause of national renewal, including further mobilizing the local Catholic followers to uphold their patriotism by promoting the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up cultural life in residential quarters”, the motto of “good life, good religion”; mobilizing them to actively make contributions to the local fields in health, education, culture and social-charity work; improving the activities of provincial Committee for Catholic Solidarity to gain better results in the implementation of patriotic emulation movements…
55 outstanding representatives for the local Catholic community’s patriotic emulation movements, comprising of 13 priests, 5 clergymen and 37 followers, were nominated as members of provincial Committee for Catholic Solidarity in the 2013 and 2018 tenure. Priest Nguyen Van Rien was elected as the chairman of provincial Committee for Catholic Solidarity for this tenure. On this occasion, provincial People’s Committee awarded 9 certificates of merit to collectives and individuals for their excellent achievements in the patriotic emulation movements of 2007 and 2012.
