7th Southeastern Fine Arts Exhibition attracts 205 works

Early August 6, the opening ceremony of the 29th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition VII (Southeast) - 2024 took place at provincial Museum. The exhibition is organized by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in collaboration with provincial Literature and Arts Association, Department of Culture, Sports, Tourism and relevant agencies.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the 29th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition VII – 2024

The event was attended by painter Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Department, along with leaders from various departments and agencies.

Taking place from August 6 to 16, the exhibition features 205 works by 172 authors, with various forms on painting, graphics, sculpture, and applied arts. These works vividly reflect the diverse and dynamic life and socio-economic fields of the Southeastern provinces, selected and evaluated by the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. The authors come from 9 provinces: Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Lam Dong, Dak Nong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Particularly, Binh Duong has 41 works by 35 authors.

On this occasion, the Art Council selected and awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, 5 consolation prizes, and 2 promising young artist prizes while selecting and introducing 11 best works by 11 authors for the awards of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations in 2024. Provincial Literature and Arts Association also held the awards ceremony of the 2024 "Land and People of Binh Duong" fine arts creation competition for 11 authors.

The Vietnam Fine Arts Association also awarded mementoes "For the cause of Vietnamese fine arts" to individuals and members who have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnamese fine arts.
