A delegation of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), led by Le Quan, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, had a working session with Binh Duong about the local implementation of the Directive No.19-CT/TW of the Secretariat of the 11th Party Central Committee dated November 5, 2012 on “strengthening the Party’s leadership over vocational training for rural laborers” on the afternoon of November 6. Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee received the delegation.

Over the past five years, the province’s implementation of the Directive No.19 basically reached the set targets. There were around 1,500 rural laborers trained with agricultural and non-agricultural skills annually. The rate of rural laborers after being training was more than 80%. Many linkage models on vocational training for rural laborers with practical efficiency contributed to changing people’s production thoughts, generating jobs for laborers and gaining sustainable poverty reduction. Speaking at the working session, Mr.Quan acknowledged petitions by sectors, departments and schools of the province in giving vocational training for rural laborers for appropriate adjustment. He also informed the province of some activities by MoLISA relating to vocational training, especially for rural laborers in the coming time.
*Prior to that, the delegation also made a survey on Dau Tieng district’s implementation of the Directive No.19.
After the survey, the delegation suggested the district to strengthen vocational training for rural laborers; mobilize the local entire political system to realize this task, especially attach special importance to the “training in association with use” motto.
