Que Huong Humanitarian Center will mark its 10th anniversary on Dec. 10 ahead. Over years, numerous orphans and unlucky people have enjoyed assistance from the center.
Common house
After 10 years of establishment, the
center has developed quickly with the area of over 10,000sqm and separate areas
to ensure healthcare for members. Area for new-born babies is a separate area
whilst area for under 5 year old children has a wide ground and 28 rooms.
State President Truong Tan Sang meets with Huynh Tieu Huong.
At present, the center has looked after over 300 orphans, disabled children, 80 of whom are new-born babies. Huynh Tieu Huong, director of the center said, in early days of establishment, I did not intent to receive new-born babies, owing to shortage of experiences of care. I only want to look after orphans and unlucky children and offer jobs for them. However, some people sometimes leave new-born babies in front of the center’s gate, so I must look after them. The number of new-born babies increases gradually”.
Aside from looking after unlucky children, the center thinks about unlucky children’s future to help them integrate into to community and not to become burden of the society. The center has placed jobs for over 4,000 mature children. Teacher Ta Van Trong of the center, said “I myself enjoy care from the center, so I want to contribute my ability to teach the center unlucky children”.
A significant life
The center has created healthy playgrounds for children to help them forget their unlucky circumstance. On holidays, the center often holds big programs to bring relaxation for them. Notably, the center often holds collective wedding parties for mature children. Huynh Tieu Huong added that since its inception, the center has held wedding parties for over 60 mature children.
The center has offered favorable conditions for mature children in seeking out their own happiness and their career.
A humanitarian activity
Aside from taking care of orphans, Huynh Tieu Huong has helped needy people nationwide. In 2010, Mai The Trung, the provincial party committee secretary assessed “We are moved to witness the center’s contribution and lofty humanitarian cause. We hope that the center keeps bringing happiness for unlucky children”.
By the great contributions, the center received merit certificates from the Government, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and so on. Huynh Tieu Huong alone enjoyed merit certificates from agencies.
