After 14 times, Binh Duong children and teenagers’ creativity contest attracted more than 17,000 works of students sent to the contest. Each work was an idea to protect the environment, household appliances, school supplies... The contest helped students promote their creativity and send their dreams and aspirations to the works.
Unique creations
For students to have an opportunity to promote creativity, in early 2018, a creative contest for teenagers and children in the province was launched. This year, the contest has 1,035 works from children in the province. The works were created and carefully selected, were close to daily life such as children's toys and things for entertainment; household appliances; solutions for production, environmental protection; school supplies; software.

Nguyen Xuan Ngan, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, rewards excellent students at the contest.
We were really surprised and admired young authors at the contest. With their imagination and creativity, these children learned how to make use of waste materials or natural materials to create beautiful and practical designs. Ngo Nguyen Bao Khang, a student of Tan Thanh primary school (North Tan Uyen), successfully created a "Rotating pen case" serving learning activities. Many children found that their parents’ field works very hard, for example, Le Duong Anh Kiet and Tran Huynh Quang, students of My Hanh secondary school (Ben Cat town), made a "Smart irrigation system" using old pumps. In the development of information technology, children have created useful products for people by using technology such as "Software to switch on/off appliances by mobile phone" by authors of To Thi Thanh Kieu, Luc Gia Yen, students of Phan Boi Chau high school (Dau Tieng); "Smart House in the Lot age" by Le Hoai Nhat Huy, student of My Phuoc secondary school (Ben Cat) ... Le Hoai Nhat Huy said: "My work sets up an application of information technology in a house to control electric lights, fans ... This product helps us to manage easily through smart phones, save time and effort, because we are able to turn on/off devices at home easily".
To promote competition with students
According to Nguyen Xuan Ngan, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, the contest was a healthy playground attracting a large number of children and teenagers in the province. Children had a chance to exchange, learn presentation skills, train their self-confidence in competitions in particular and in life in general, promote creativity of children, the future owners of the country. At the same time, this was also an opportunity for families, schools and social organizations to encourage and motivate children to develop their creative and technical thinking. Children’s works sent to the competition have been increasingly diverse, in which there were many works can be applied into daily life.
To awaken and further develop passion for creativity of the youth, in the coming time, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Education and Training, Provincial Youth Union and Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations will intensify the propaganda about the competition’s purposes and significance to majority children and teenagers in the province so that the contest would be more successful with the larger number of participants and works. In order to achieve that, propagation is very necessary; At the same time, to enhance the emulation movement for creative learning and creative working among students.
Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the world was changing rapidly under the influence of globalization, the great development of science and technology, and Industrial 4.0; this had brought great opportunities and challenges to the country. Human resources and creative ability will be the main driving force, playing an important role for Vietnam in general, Binh Duong province in particular to take advantage of opportunities, overcome challenges, meet requirements of development and deepening integration. In this context, the thinking and ability of creativity need to be fostered and taken full advanatage in all fields and people of all strata, especially in teenagers and children, future owners of the country. Therefore, the contest needs to be expanded to encourage children to research and create good products.
