In the morning of October 10, at Viet-Sing residential area (An Phu ward, Thuan An town), provincial Labor Confederation solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of Binh Duong Labor Culture Center. Attending the ceremony were Mai The Trung, former member of Central Party Committee, former Secretary of Binh Duong Party Committee; Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thanh Liem, provincial Party Standing Member, Head of provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee of, Chairman of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Tran Van Thuat, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Labor Federation; and leaders of branches and unions in the province. This was an important cultural institution to meet the spiritual needs of workers in the area.
Workers are excited
At the inauguration ceremony of Binh Duong Labor Culture Center, many workers were surprised, excited because of the spacious work for worker’s activities. On an area of more than 2.3 hectares in Viet - Sing residential area after more than 1 year of construction, now it is the first amusement and entertainment center for laborers in the province. The work was completed on schedule with good quality assurance. It was heart and efforts of responsible people, departments, and localities. The joy and pride flashed in the eyes of the responsible cadres in charge of this project. Their heart, their mind and their strength have brought a lot of joy to the labor force.
Provincial leaders and representatives of Vietnam General Labor Federation inaugurate Binh Duong Labor Culture Center.
Binh Duong Labor Culture Center has a total investment of more than VND72 billion, of which more than VND12 billion was funded by the central budget, VND 37 billion of provincial budget, the rest (more than VND23 billion) was funded by Vietnam General Labor Federation and provincial Labor Federation. The work consists of 3 main categories, including: convention - event center; multi-purpose stadium; square and auxiliary works, such as: Garages, parking lots, fences, sidewalks, gateways, water and electricity system, trees, fire protection, internal traffic...
Construction items were well arranged, creating harmony with the general complex, ensuring smooth and non- overlapping activities. The blocks are linked together through courtyards system, internal roads have facilitated convenient transportation; at the same time, have been an ideal space for workers and local people when they come to exchange and participate in cultural and art activities, physical training and sports or entertainment. This work contributed to the implementation of the movement "All people unite to build cultural life". Nguyen Thi Thao, a worker of Viet Huong industrial park, said excitedly: "I am very happy, because Binh Duong built an entertainment center, a playground for workers. Now, workers are able to have fun after hours of hard work. "
A work of millions heart
There are about 1 million workers in the province. The demand for cultural and sports activities of the labor force is great. In order to finish this good work, the contributions of departments, branches of trade unions and especially the interest of Vietnam General Labor Federation, provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee are important.
Bui Thanh Nhan, Chairman of Provincial Labor Federation, said: "While processing the project, there were many problems in terms of policy. Moreover, this was the first time Provincial Labor Federation was assigned to be a project investor of a cultural institution, thus we lacked in experiences. However, all procedural obstacles received dedicated helps of all levels. The project is the wish of leader generations of Provincial Labor Federation, of union officials and workers in the province.
“In order to effectively and practically operate the center, Provincial Labor Federation will organize and operate the center in accordance with its functions, link and mobilize resources for socialization to continue investing in the remaining items such as: Dining and night market; club of trade union officials and enterprises; mini soccer fields; community swimming pool; children's play area".
Besides this Labor Culture Center, Provincial Labor Federation has been applying for land fund of Provincial People's Committee to continue investing in labor centers in Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Di An and Bau Bang with provincial support policy for clean land fund and 70% capital.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Tran Van Thuat, Vice Chairman of Vietnam General Labor Federation, expressed his appreciation to the attention of provincial leaders to laborers in the province. He also hoped that this work would be efficiently used and best serve cultural life of the labor force.
