Teaching is the most noble profession of the noble professions. The lives of teachers maybe of poverty, but there are still families who keep the profession grow. Family Mr. Le Hung at Chanh Nghia Ward, Thu Dau Mot City is one of the cases.
For the cause
In the land of Binh Duong, the name of Le Hung is not so strange. Because he is both the master of education and medicine. He retold his time of postgraduation from college in 1960 when he taught at An My community school, then he moved to the Bung community school and from 1965 to 1989, he taught at the College of Agriculture-Forestry-Livestock.

As a teacher and medicine master, he kept up oriental medicine profession of his ancestor. In 1990, when the province established Traditional Medicine Hospital, Mr. Hung came here. In the new position, Mr. Le Hung remained a mentor, training generations of medicine physicians, while supporting training courses on laser.
His wife, Ms. Vuong Kim Duong is also a teacher. Previously, she taught at the Bo De Secondary School. During the past decades, despite the ups and downs and difficult life, the have been still holding on to the noble profession. In quite the same time, generations of students have grown up to hold important positions in various departments of the province. Now, in their retirement, they are proud of the career choice. It was because that teaching is uncomparable to any other profession in the society. However, Mr. Le Hung has been most satisfied of his contented children - the successors of their parents' profession.
He has 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls, then all 5 of them become teachers. It is more appreciated that his two daughters- and sons- in-law are working as teachers as well. Referring to this, he is very proud and happy for his elderly time to see his children following the pathway of knowledge to educate the younger generation. His elder daughter, Ms. Le Vuong Ly, currently the Vice Principal of Vo Minh Duc High School in Thu Dau Mot City said that the parents and siblings had been in the same profession to understand and share up for more efforts. Her family has a tradition that on his birthday every November and Mrs. Dung's birthday on December, all family members gather to offer wishings to their parents. On such occasion, the children also receive words of encouragement and teaching of the parents, to try their best to contribute to the society.
The model teachers
Of 10 teachers in the family of Mr. Le Hung, all are devoted to the profession including Ms. Le Vuong Ly who was entitled as Outstanding Teacher in 2000. When she was a high school teacher of Hung Vuong Specialized High School, she has participated in training up elite students to win annual national student awards. Now in her managing position, she is still involved in training up excellent student. Success of the students is the encouragement for her to devote. And, so as to help students learn good things, she keeps regularly professional training even in the position of a deputy principal.
On this year Teachers' Day, family of Mr. Le Hung have more happiness as his daughter-in-law, Ms. Pham Hoa - the Principal of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School in Thu Dau Mot City has been entitled by the Ministry of Education and Training as the Outstanding Teacher in 2014.
Of her youth, Hoa has excelled in her management capacity. Mr. Nguyen Van Chet, Deputy Director of Education and Training in Thu Dau Mot City evaluated of her ethics and flexible management. From the time of designation to be a principal, she has shown the capacity of maintaining and further developing education quality at the school. With the ability and the qualities above, she has gained colleagues’ preference and parents’ trust. Hoa also demonstrated the management ability by winning the second prize of provincial good manager contest in 2014.
Ly confirmed to us that parents would be model for their children.Hung used to teach his children that a teacher might teach 1 to 2 things but he should have known 10 things already. From the teachings of the father, the teachers in this family have made constantly learning and training professional, trying to express their capacities. Of the 5 sisters, Ms. Le Vuong Ly and Mr. Le La Vuong Linh, an instructor of Thu Dau Mot University, have completed their master's programs; Ms. Le Vuong Chinh, a teacher of Vo Minh Duc High School is attending training courses on European-standard English proficiency at Eastern International University.
In his retirement, he keeps on researching and working on computer. Teachers' Day is the happiest day of the family of Mr. Le Hung. The teachers in this family receive a lot of flowers and wishings from their students. "Looking at the students of gratitude is the priceless gift to teachers on this anniversary," said Ms. Le Vuong Ly.
