*233 Tet gifts presented to poor children
Late January 18, South Tan Uyen Industrial Park Joint Stock Company (JSC) and the People’s Committee of Khanh Binh commune in Tan Uyen district jointly held a festival night on “Taking care of alien young workers on the 2014 traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival. More than 2,000 young workers attended the event.
During the festival night, South Tan Uyen Industrial JSC and the People’s Committee of Khanh Binh commune presented 200 gifts worth VND350,000 each to young workers who cannot return home for Tet and those with outstanding achievements at the industrial park.
Coming to the festive night, young workers had a chance to enjoy a music show performed by singers from HCM city and take part in a lucky draw program with attractive prizes (including motorbikes, bicycles, TVs, fans…) valued at more than VND50mln.
*Di An town’s Young Pioneer Team Association has just held a competition on “Smapore mass performance” with the theme of “Arms of spring” and given Tet gifts to poor children.
Finally, the town’s Young Pioneer Team Association awarded first and second prizes to Di An secondary school and Binh An secondary school; presented 233 gifts worth VND400,000 each, including confectionary, milk… and VND200,000.
It is known that the above gifts were mobilized from the “Small plan” movement. The movement was actively responded by members with many significant activities.
