On the Tet 2010, Di An district yesterday held a get-together for religious dignitaries and extended Tet greetings to them.
At the get-together, representative of Di An district’s leaders briefly informed these religious dignitaries of the district’s Party, Government and people’s achievements done last year. On behalf of the local religious dignitaries, Superior Monk Thich Minh Thien, Head of Chau Thoi pagoda expressed his thank to the district’s leaders for their efforts creating favorable conditions for the local religious operations over the past years and affirmed to further mobilize religious followers to well realize the Party and State’s policies. He also hoped that the local religious organizations would further unite and go hand in hand with the local administration to bring Di An a city in the future.
On this occasion, Di An district’s leaders also donated 24 Tet gifts to the local religious dignitaries. The total cost of these gifts is worth VND12mln, funded by the local State budget.
